The Energy Transition in the World series of webinars has the objective to map the development of solutions for the different challenges and opportunities with which countries must work towards a low carbon economy.
In the first edition of the series – Energy Transition as an Impetus to Prosperity and Integration: Experiences and Visions of the European Community -, Institute E+ discussed the newly defined vision of the European Community about the Green New Deal.
Philipp Hauser, the project manager of Global Energy Transition for the German think tank Agora Energiewende, in his presentation, highlighted the following points: the European energy system in 2030; economic effects and prospects for 2050; global consequences of the European transformation; and the megatrends that condition and sustain the transformation of the global economy.
The event was moderated by Roberto Kishinami, the senior coordinator of the energy portfolio at the Institute for Climate and Society.
